Susan Cooney

Sue Cooney is dedicated to helping organizations create cultures that attract, retain, and motivate top talent. Prior to entering the learning and organizational development field, Sue spent 15 years in small and large business with responsibility for  sales, marketing, management, training, new business start up, and customer service.

Sue focuses on interpersonal skills, where she has developed and taught courses in leadership and supervision, change, conflict, communications, time and meetings management, decision making, coaching, performance management, motivation, and collaboration. In addition to development and facilitation, Sue offers coaching, assessment, and evaluation support to organizations. Sue received her certification as an Appreciative Inquiry Facilitator by the Company of Experts.

Sue prides herself on versatility, adaptability, lifelong commitment to learning, collaboration, dedication, and enthusiasm. Sue’s ability to build strong relationships, and passion for helping others learn and grow, have earned her the trust and respect of peers, supervisors, direct reports, and customers. Sue’s combined business acumen and education give her a blended understanding of theory and practice.

Sue’s education includes a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Towson University and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Baltimore. Sue is currently pursuing her Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership – with a focus in organizational development and appreciative inquiry.

Sue Co-chairs the workforce development committee at a local chamber and is a classroom volunteer with Junior Achievement.
